"I am proud to be a Co-opted Governor at Simmondley Primary School and have started a second four year term of office. I am a retired Primary school teacher , and worked in a school in Hyde where I had a wonderful career with a huge variety of experiences and responsibilities including two terms of office as a Staff Governor.
I have lived in Glossop for 40 years , so as I missed school life , I became involved with local schools at both Primary and Secondary level . After I experienced life at SPS where I had been given a warm Simmondley welcome, I have been a volunteer for over five years- you may have seen me around school where I have worked mainly with KS2. My husband , a retired teacher, may also be a familiar face as he has taken basketball sessions , and helped with Design and Technolgy classes in all age groups . Due to my varied interests I am a member of both the Teaching and Learning , and Resources Committees."
